Default Charlie schwendler is your man

HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL

I want to give a public thanks to Charlie Schwendler for the superb job he did on two old Mallory distributors I needed re-re-worked. He was a gentleman and easy to get a hold of and would answer questions. The price was reasonable and the turn around time was exceptional.
You know how it is when you have your hopes up on someone doing the right job on our old stuff and either they drop off the planet or you are just plain disappointed with the work. NOT TO WORRY. Mr. Schwendler is you man and you can rest easy when its in his hand to do the job right. This all sounds hammy but I have been as many of us have disappointed with work that we spent good money and time on. Excited to finally get it back only to be let down. So, when someone is exceptional, it should be known. At least this is all my humble opinion. If need i can provide his number but he is pretty well known on the net. Stay Frosty!

of course!
I haven't had the pleasure of talking with Mrs. Charlie so I couldn't speak to that. I'm sure the same can be said. At any rate, I wanted to give credit where it was due. Thanks all for a great community we have.

He helped me out last winter with my carb and distributor. Walked me through some stuff I had never done. Couldn't ask for a better help, I greatly appreciate the time he took with me!!!

Mr. Schwendler and my father had a very good relationship and Charlie supplied many parts for Dad's project '36 Phaeton that ended up coming to me. The fuel system, the transmission, the rear, and the distributor were all given the magic touch by Mr. Schwendler. He's been a great help keeping my fun going on numerous occasions!

You can rest quite well when he's on your case.

outsider found me thru the BARN....may have been Mac VanPelt or Michael Driskell....
turns out we live 5 minutes from each other. Ed's '40 is everything it appears to be.
Turns out we have many friends in common from the circle track golden era in western

New York. Much that era is history but it comes alive again in our back and forth
conversations. Good guy ,does his own work !

As I said in an earlier post in response to a question you had asked, I wasn't kidding when I said ...IMO...your property values have increased just because of your proximity to Charlie....an incredible individual in terms of knowledge, ethics and personality!!! And like many others here on the Barn, I, too, have been blessed by his help. About ten years ago, he rebuilt my '39 transmission, followed by about 2 or 3 carbs in the years that followed.

Charlie, how does it feel to have become a legend??? ...and thanks for being there!!

I too attest to Charlie's top-notch knowledge, ethics, and personality. He has done an outstanding job with a carburetor rebuild at a very reasonable price, very quickly, and has answered every one of my questions clearly and accurately. I am very grateful.
Thank you Charlie!
