Default Removing Doors on 1934 3 window

Looking for advice: I will be removing the doors on my 1934 3 window to do some paint work on the body in the next week. In the past I have just removed the door pins on other cars but since this car is finished and this job will not be a complete repaint and will not include the doors. I was wondering if would be better to just take the hinges off from the doors or the body instead.

I would personally just take out the pins. I think you would have less chance of fitting issues later. Carefully soak for a couple of days as they may be tight.

If you don't need to paint the hinges, pulling the pins will save the hassle of realigning the doors.

Not sure on the 3 windows, but believe the 5 window has the hinge spot welded to the door. The screws into the door frame can be very difficult to remove.

I was dreading the job on my 34 truck so I soaked the pins with penetrating oil for several weeks, or whenever I thought about it. The pins came out pretty easily with the right sized punch and hammer. Hammering upside down is not one of my better skills so I taped a piece of heavy cardboard behind the hinge so I could not slip and mess up the paint with my hammer or punch.
