TEE Bird Products in PA has a liner I think they call mole skin. I used it to line my Tbird glass run.

I used two different kinds of home weatherstripping for the window runs on my 1956 victoria . one is felt and the other is pile. glued it in with 3m glue and it works great.

Re: Door glass run Liner? What have you used?
I have used the loop portion of velcro with great success.
Get the self sticky stuff. Clean the run really good, wire brush the run on the inside and clean after with brake cleaner. I cut the velcro into long strips just wide enough to cover one side of the run. Apply the bottom first, then the sides. Start the side up tight against the stainless bead and press into the channel. Be careful, that stuff will stay where it touches!

This sounds like a good idea to me, the only weatherstripping I have seen is foam, would you be able to post a picture or where you got it?

Re: Door glass run Liner? What have you used?
hi 56 fairlane, the felt weatherseal comes 1 1/4 inches wide, 3/16 inches thick and 17 feet long. you will have to cut to fit the bottom of the 'u' shaped window run. i got this at a home depot store. the pile weatherstrip is 1/4 inches wide, 3/16 inches thick and 17 feet long. it is self stick but i used 3m glue on this and the felt.got it at a local store similar to a home depot, called menards. the pile brand name is "dennis",part #417pl and the felt brand name is "frost king",part#S214/17 and this was from home depot. hope this helps you.

My wife is sometimes known as "the Velcro queen" at the school where she teaches. She buys the stuff in large rolls on line. In a pinch she gets it at Home Depot, but the cost is 4X what it is on line.

you can get the Velcro at fabric stores, like Jo-Ann's Fabric, and others. also can get other materials there. ( vinyl, synth. leather. ) they also have foam padding to do upholstery for door panels, seats headliners , etc.
