Also make sure the rear bumper is secure, grab tight and give the tail a good shake.

That's the '28 model, probably won't fit his '31.

Poor Sarah, I'm glad she's in the garage and not here reading this abuse. Since she's 83 years old, it could be considered elderly abuse....be gentle fellas, I have to live with her.

I acquired for Sarah two Christmas gifts which one she is using already, a nice little battery tender to keep her heart warm on those cold nights in the garage all alone. The second one I await it's arrival now by UPS. It's to sing her to sleep at night and excite me during the day. Anticipation is overwhelming......................... Once it arrives though, I still have to wait two hours for it to get at room temperature before I can plug it in.

WOW!!! It finally arrived and I must give it a female name because it is sooooo beautiful. Took forever to unpack her but considering she only two years younger than Sarah, she needed a lot of packing. In a way, she's more delicate than Sarah. She's now on the table, I'm out of breath so I think I'll take a long hot shower and wait for her to warm to room temperature before I use her. Till later.....................

I've named her Esther and I don't think I'll introduce her to Sarah. I think I'll just keep Esther for my pleasure. I came up with Esther because having it in the house again reminded me of my grandma Esther. I think I have a photo around somewhere and if I can find it, I'll post it when I post a photo of Esther.

Esther is now talking to me, here's a photo of Esther:

I'm listening to Game 6 of the 1934 World Series between the St Louis Cardinals and the Detroit Tigers on a 1933 Silvertone radio sold by Sears & Roebuck. Esther will be part of my early 30s static display this coming summer either playing the ballgame or 30s music.

Esther is not exactly like the one grandma and the our family had but it's close. Here's a family photo of us and that radio.
