Default OD 1950 Ford Transmission

Which transmission case number do I need for a 1950 Ford flathead v8 ? THANKS 😊

Not sure which one you need but I have a nice 51 side loader if You need one. I used the guts and put them in a 40 top loader for my 50 F1. $40.00 plus shipping. Thanks

1949 & 50 are the same but they changed all the gears to the diamond type in 1951. I don't know how interchangeable the stuff is between the pre 1951 and the post 1951 since all the part numbers changed.

I did not see the OD in the title line of the thread. None of the tail shaft housings I have are for OD. Rod

Even if they were, they wouldn't work because the position of the rear mount changed in 1951 because of the introduction of the FordaMatic trans mission.
