New Front seal
New member here, that needs help. I plan on switching out the robe seal on the front of my 1950 239hp flatty. Got the crank pulley off, but the crankshaft pulley extension with the spirals on it is tight. Does this bushing have a key way or does it just slide off? Any idea's? I plan on installing the new and improved O ring rubber seal with new bushing. Thanks

Re: New Front seal
It just slides on and is locked in place by the pulley bolt.
Just my opinion, but can the new seals. The rope works fine and will outlast the rubber seals. |

Re: New Front seal
Was able to get the oil spiral bushing off crankshaft....After chain vise grips and a hammer did not work....The chisel and hammer worked....was just tight on shaft...Now I will go ahead and use the 2 piece rubber seal with new crankshaft bushing....and lots of silicon sealant.....Thanks
