Default storage compartment

I was told there is a storage compartment under the seat of my 1930 coupe. Can anyone help me with how to access this storage compartment. I can't seem to find a way to lift up the seat. I have a seat adjuster knob on the bottom middle of the seat that moves it front and back but can't figure out how to get to the storage compartment. Ports

The seat springs should just lift straight up unless someone modified things.

The bottom section of the seat has a clip in the each front corner. Lift up the cushion and voila.

The seat can fit tight and be hard to lift up. The plastic tools available at the auto parts stores that are shaped like a flat shoehorn work good to reinstall the seat.

28 and 29 Coupes have removeable lower seat cushion.

Sometime in 1930 they made the seat movable on two tracks.

There is a knob as you have found to move seat.

These seats do not have storage under the seat.

Correction:

The movable seat has two pegs in each front corner to hold seat from moving forward,

Pull seat cushion upwards (not the frame fastened to the slider) to release. There is a small storage area under there.

The Fordor, Coupe and Slant Fordor with movable seats that I just looked at are setup simalarly.

The Tudor with folding "Bucket seats" has no storage space to speak of.

Benson, Thanks for the clarification. This is strange as my 1930 Fordor has an adjustable seat but still has storage under the front seat. I keep the jack there.

It may be possible for Ports to modify his seat so that he can lift it off for storage. I could be wrong. My coupe was 1930 but that was 50 years ago and I cannot remember any details about the seat.
