Default Black Fender Touch up paint or Color Code

Need to touch up some scratches on my 31 Cabriolet. I see the paint colors and code on the mafca website [URL="https://mafca.org/tqa_paint_codes.html"]
But can't find the black fender code though. Anyone know it or where to get a good match to this common black?

I don't know any paint codes, but just picked up Testors gloss black from an RC hobby store. Looks pretty darn close (unnoticed) for my 30..

I had some POR15 left over from a different project. I took a little brush and lightly touched up some areas with success.

Black felt marker will hide a lot of scratches.

Rustoleum, use a tiny hobby brush to apply in several layers to build up.

Painters in my area recommend using a striping brush for touch ups. For black, I prefer PPG Concept. There are a number of tips for doing touch ups, including a light sanding of the edges surrounding the scratch, multiple coats of finish coat to build up the surface, and then a final light water-sanding with something like a 2000 grit sandpaper. My concerns with lesser grade paints would be that they would become more evident after a few years.

I use Chrysler DX8 black. it's one of the blackess blacks. Has a touch of blue in it. Blacks have many different casts depending on who's making it. Red, Green,Yellow, Blue, Grey, etc. As I learn't from experience.

Gloss Black POR 15 is not UV protected and will fade out.
Painted my frame and the exposed portions faded over a short period of time.

Testors worked on my sedan.
DuPont 99A Pitch Black is also popular

There are many shades of black so you might accept a close touch up, or take it to a paint shop and have them match the color and have a pint or quart made for you.

I was lucky enough that the last owner put down in the cars log book the color brand and codes to my Maroon and Black.

Regards
Bill

Thanks to all. Reminds me of the saying in construction; "Good enough for who it's for."
