Default A gallops no more

got it running good thanks for the input guys. so i changed out the main jet, measures 1.48 in., then i blew out the carb with air,then i changed the carb. bowel gasket they are suppose to measure .048 in. mine was .023 ?? brand new . so with just these minor changes ,I set the idle opened the air adj. 1& 3/4 turns . the gav now works . i took it for a short ride and i think its running good.new wwtires and painted rims. I'm READY. THE HOOCH

the main jet i took out was only 1/32 in. short of the recommended.

should be 1 15/32, cap jet 1 5/32; the main jet should be level with top of the ridge where the venturi sets in the carb.

I would say when you blew out the carb you probably got ride of misc debris in other areas of carb, the gasket thickness ? you talking the one between the 2 halves/?
