Rear Bumpers on a 31 CCPU
I thought it would be easy to put some rear bumpers on my 31 CCPU so I bought everything (bought sedan bumper mounting irons) thinking I could just adjust them to work on the pickup but am finding out there not even close. I've seen dozens of pickups with rear bumpers and someone must have a suggestion or two or even a drawing of what they did? Thought before I cut and make it work I'd see if anyone has what has worked for them?

Sedan delivery has longer arms but unobtainable…
Only thing I know of is to extend bars |

Mine ('31 Budd Cab) has interference with dropping Tail-Gate. Can't drop it 180 from close. For me, gives it a finished-look tho

Re: Rear Bumpers on a 31 CCPU
I haven't done it myself, but a friend bolted up a set of sedan rear bumper brackets on his 29 pickup and it was pretty easy. No cutting or welding.

“bolted up a set of sedan rear bumper brackets”
Where did they extend in relation to the gate? Just wondering |

Re: Rear Bumpers on a 31 CCPU
Years ago when my pickup belonged to my dad, he installed a front bumper on the rear of his pickup. He installed this brace to make it work.

Re: Rear Bumpers on a 31 CCPU
When I bought my rear bumper brackets they had already been lengthened by about 6". They position the bumper so that the tail gate will swing the full 180 degrees.
