Well I can relate as well.

I am 69, bought my first A at 13 and finished the frame off at 21. I was always the youngest at the shows, and meetings. Now when I see a young guy involved it does my heart good, and I have to go over and talk to him.

I am still doing Model A's. I really believe it keeps me going and young.

Now 47.

First rode in a Model A in 1998.

Bought my first Model A in 2012. 32000 miles driven on that one, in nine countries. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCbkUphkEJw

Second Model A bought in 2013. Only 2000 miles on that, but increasing daily.

Fret not young chaps, there's a quiet body of whipper-snappers interested in this madness, even whose day-jobs are about Machine Learning, VR, self-driving cars, and other techno-gadgetry. I've immodestly said many times, if you want to get noticed, a Model A trumps any dern Lamborghini, wherever you are. And I built mine with my own greasy, scarred hands.

Safe driving, Andrew

All i have to say is I am glad for you guys, myself I can't stand it. So I got a flat (new tire and tube) my son took it apart and tube had ever so small pin hole, no nails or nothing
looked like a defect so i patched it. 4 hours to mount a measly 6-00-16 not counting sitting down time. gotta be kidding. I have mounted dismounted thousands of 10-00-20
11-00-20 truck and bus tires and now can't even do a toy tire. And I'm the same age as my only set of wheels....UGG

Looked up life expectancy for males in the USA, and several of you, including me, are past your sell-by date. Is that because you, or we, own old cars? Or, is that because we are too stupid to die? Well, whatever, congrats if you reached 77! You beat the national average.

Now me, at almost 78, I'm building a 24 T roadster hot rod. I must be a special kind of super stupid!

I'll be 83 in another week, thought it was time so just sold my 29 coupe as it was getting tougher to drive because of my height of 6-2 and buying my old car back which is a 51 Ford custom fordor with plenty of room for my legs.

I, and my 1930 Town Sedan, which I was able to restore when I was in my sixties, were both born in the decade of the '30s. I barely made it (1939).

I'll be 74 in a few days time. Still restoring old cars. Renovating is a better word because I like to have a bit of patina, otherwise I am too scared to drive them and get them dirty.
Thoroughly enjoying my age, though arthritis has slowed me a bit. Count myself very lucky to still have my wife and kids and grand kids around me, unlike some.
Best thing I bought other than our cars is a 4 post hoist, so I don't have to get up and down off the floor! Some days that really taxes me.
Still working full time in my company that makes automotive and hardware chemical products. That gives me the ability to have a large workshop and house the Auckland model A club rooms in my factory too. Plus it keeps my brain active,
Latest cars are a 1953 3 litre Alvis (They still build British fighting vehicles) and a 1962 3.8 litre Mark 2 Jaguar.
That's enough from me!
