Default Hey Guys... Big server Upgrade... See any bugs?

Hey guys, we just performed a giant server upgrade. Traffic had outgrown our last server and it was time to make a change. I started the process this weekend and just finished the work.

This change comes with a new IP address and it will take up to 72 hours for some people's connection to propagate. As such, there are bound to be some bugs due to the slow propagation time.

However, report anything you see that's not working and I'll get on it.

Thanks a ton!

The problem I have noticed is that I now 5 1/2 pages of posts in Bold, I know that I have read many of them before the new server and now they are showing up as unread??

If you don't have time to do it right the 1st time, how do you have time to do it the 2nd time?

Yeah... sorry man... If it's any consolation, you can now go to quick links and then mark all forums as read. This will start you over fresh.

Since the change I now have to sign in each time I come to the site, even though I checked "remember me".

All those bold threads disappear once I sign in again, otherwise it was the same problem 160B has.

Sorry for the hassle. That problem happens when your browser is out of memory. Here is how you can beat it:

1. Clear the cache and temporary internet files from your browsers memory.

2. Next time you login, click the "remember me" box.

After that, you will be good to go!

Thanks,

Hey Ryan, has the software been tightened up in terms of spammers or the registration process? There sure are a lot of scrofulous types that sign up here and the H.A.M.B., and start.. well spamming, the forums. One thing nice about the H.A.M.B. is two (2) reports of a post and it is immediately nuked. That would work well here too. If the time limits placed upon spam reports could go bye that would be good too. If the user base has to play spam police - this is a good thing, make it painless. Thanks for all you do Ryan.

Hi Ryan,

I reset my password with the one supplied but I would like to use a password that I assign. I could remember it easier. Also, when I was signed in I could not open photos. It gave me a statement that I wasn't signed in. I realize you will get this straightened out. Just wanted to let you know what I'm encountering.

Thanks,

Pat Rooney

Unless I'm missing something, when you do so, it marks every thread in all the forums as read. No way to distinguish the threads you actually read.

I noticed that I have less money than I did before the server change over. How can you help me with that?

I can't get in either Fordbarn or the HAMB unless I use a proxy.
Have you configured the new server as secure?

I have to log in each time I go to Ford Barn. I have cleaned out my temporary internet files and I always check the Remember Me box. Sometimes I have to log in every time I go to a new page. This problem began a couple of days ago.

Same here.
I've had to re-size photos down to less than 2MB before they'll upload.
They used to upload without this hassle.
