Just thought I'd pass on an advertisement I noticed on the German Oldtimermarkt.de web page for a very interesting German bodied 1939 Ford.

The seller is offering the following (translated to English from the German ad):

"Ford V8, Deutsch Cabrio, 4 seat, YOM 1939, 90 HP, 3569 ccm, 20879 kilometers, Two door, unrestored condition, almost all complete parts, good sheet metal, wood needs renewing, rolling condition, 14,500.- Euro or best offer (about $19,093.- OBO), telephone from the US: 011-49-177-213-5968.

An over 70 year old rare antique car, for which almost all of the original parts are included and are essentially not yet restored. With this German production, Ford V8 with its 4 seat Deutsch custom body you acquire a very rare automobile. The custom bodied cabriolet body was essentially produced by hand by the custom body company Deutsch in Cologne. The photo shows an original drawing (artistic rendering) from the sales brochure from 1939."

FWIW, in June of 2012, a similar 1936 custom bodied German Cabriolet (made by Drauz) sold at an RM auction for $396,000

Though I do not know or have any relationship to the seller, it sure sounds like it would be an interesting car to restore or preserve (if good enough condition).
