Default Rear main leak fix - the German engineered solution

.....and if you really would like one for your car, it is for sale on eBay at this link: http://r.ebay.com/oZnzIY

....it even includes it's own drain plug.

I wonder how it does at highway speeds....if the oil gets blown back out of the pan....

Fordially,

I saw one with a tin can wired to catch the leak. Probably worked as well and cheaper.

lol thats not a drip tray thats the "self preservation" pan. Supplies a light coating of oil to all chassis parts extending thier life. Eventually it mixes with dust to create a goo like liquid concrete that could withstand a monsoon

See, if they were thinking they would find a way for the muffler to heat the pan and self clean it self.

Several vendors sell a clip-on pan that looks like this.
It clips on/off. Called a rear main janitor. About $20.
It fits nicely into the "Fix the symptom, not the problem" category.
