Default 1933/34 Ford Running Board Brackets

How do you tell the difference between the original and reproduction running board brackets.

Were they marked FORD, or with part # etc.

Thanks

The original brackets are made from heavier material. Stan

The originals were bare of Ford script and part number so no guidance there. Likely the wraparound to create the bolt hole on the end isn't formed as well as on the originals.

My originals are .095 or 13 gauge and have numbers stamped into them.

Unusual, and the non-zero digit seems to correspond with the Ford part numbers (40-16485, 16486, 16487). My several sets of them have no markings.

They are from this car, bought new in Tekeo, Washington. The pair with "70" stamp goes in the rear. Notice the bend in the other pair, they match the curve of the frame. "50"on the right and "60" on the left.
