Vacuum tester
HI;
Did they make a Vacuum tester back in the 20's and 30's to test the Vacuum on the cars and trucks of the day, or how did they do that back then was there a tester or wasn't there a tester back in the day. I know for a fact there was a tester in the 40's and 50's but when did the testers first come out, was it the 20's and 30's or was it the 40's and 50's that the Vacuum testers first came out. Thanks Let Me Know Reggiedog |

Re: Vacuum tester
Pressure gauges have been around since the dawn of steam engines, and a vacuum gauge is just an inverted pressure gauge, so it's a good bet there were contemporary vacuum gauges and a testing protocol associated with them.

Re: Vacuum tester
HI;
So where would someone go to get one of them as I have looked for years for them, and never have found even a answer to where to get one of them as I have looked for years to buy one and still nothing. The reason why I even want one is I Rebuild and Fix Old Original Trico Vacuum fans, and sometimes I need to test the vacuum system on the fans as I go through allot of fans over the years. And some of them don't work because of the Vacuum is to weak in the fans and I can't fix them without a tester to test them, as most of them that don't work if I try to test them the back blows out and you don't want that to happen. Re: Vacuum tester
You certainly should be able to purchase a vacuum pump and gauges at a scientific supply house.
