Attached is the Ford Script Oil Can assembly print
Note on the Ford assembly print it states "for tool kit."

Well Done Ronnie ! That is the kind of 'facts' I like. And it helps clarify the answer to the question regarding a holding bracket for the oil can.

There is a nice article by Roy Hess on Ford script oil cans in Volume 50, #4 (July/August 2015) issue of "The Vintage Ford" from the Model T Ford Club of America.

He surveyed eBay for 6 months in 2012-2013 and observed 427 cans for sale of which 295 sold for $9-$184. Sixteen different cans were identified including some "new" ones made by an original manufacturer, Eagle, given away as promotional items in the 1980s.

I've got an Obsolete Ford Parts catalog from 1977, they were based in Long Beach, California, which lists the exact reproduction Ford oil can. Wonder how many are being traded as ''vintage'' Ford Cans? lol
