Default 1940 convertible top bow adjustment

Is there a system for pre-adjusting the top bows on a 40' convert to get the proper clearance around the windows before the fabric is installed? My 40' is the late style with adjustment screws on each side. Thanks

The way I did it on mine was to make the vertical upright at the rear of the door glass fit the glass and the horizonal header across the top of the door glass . The stainless channels must be installed with the rubber strips . The adjustment can be established by using the screws on each side and there is some front to back adjustment where the bracket that holds the wood header fits into the horizonal header that runs across the top of the door glass.Cant remember the exact sequence I used to do this .
