Edit button disappeared
Hello-
I occasionally post items for sale and when they sell I like to edit the post to indicate sold. I do this without bumping it to the top via the blue edit button that was next to the reply and quote buttons. The edit button has been removed. Was this intentional? I have tried logging out and back in, cleaning my computer of all cookies and temp files, cleaned the registry, tried different computers and iPad, so I am fairly certain it is not on my end. Mike |

Re: Edit button disappeared
Test post to see if I am missing edit button.
Yes I do. I am on desk top running FireFox and I have the edit button. Sorry that I can't be of more help. Maybe send a note to Ryan.

Re: Edit button disappeared
Thank you for the effort. Through the search engine I found that a duration of time to edit a post has been applied. For some reason within the last week or so mine changed to real short. As you say, I'll have to send a note.

Re: Edit button disappeared
I lost mine last week.
Can't edit ads to change info or prices. Been here since 2010, never had a problem before!

Re: Edit button disappeared
When you submit an AD, the Edit button is there ONLY for a few hours.
Below is the thread that explains a little about the Delete and Edit problem. http://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=214032 .

Re: Edit button disappeared
Too bad the the actions of a few resulted in Ryan having to change that function.
I always edited my ads to indicate "sold" as a courtesy to other members, and deleted the "btt" posts to reduce clutter. |

Re: Edit button disappeared
rich b, well said.
Just a point here. I sell a lot of parts here. Sometimes I like to add info to an ad, or lower the price, or add parts to an existing ad, and to put sold on the ad, so guys don't waste time looking at parts that are gone. Without an edit button, none of these are possible. I guess to accomplish these points now, we will have to ad info when the ad is bumped. Just adding info, no disrespect intended or implied. I can work with it!

Re: Edit button disappeared
The Model T Ford Club of America's forum and classifieds is setup the same way, short time to edit or delete if no one else has posted on the string ( like 15 min.) and update by bumping. It works.
