Default Fan or no fan

Do you have to remove radiator fan housing to lift the head or can it stay on?

Are you talking about a fan shroud on the radiator, or the fan blade connected to the water pump? I would remove the water pump before lifting the head.

You can disconnect radiator hose at the top. Unhook the 2 radiator support rods. Leave radiator shell on and pull forward and clamp to headlight bar to give room to pull head with water pump on. I just did this and it worked fine but you still need to be careful not to damage rthe radiator. Ron

Like Ron said. The one other thing that I do is put a big sheet of cardboard between the radiator and the fan to hep protect the radiator while you are pulling things out.

OH, so you were just testing us to see if we were awake.

Yesterday's lesson learned............don't put a pumpkin pie in the oven, then lay down on the couch when you are sleepy.

It was only 20 minutes extra burned.

Stew, yes, I live right down the street from the parade route but had to work. Really wished I was off that day to bend some ears...

haha I did too... I blame Tom burning his pumpkin pie... speaking of the punkin pie holiday is near - everyone knows its against the law to serve pumpkin pie with no whipped creme correct? The proper amount is to do a nice 1/4" layer of it over the entire slice on all sides....

Heh, looks like I'm not going to be correct because I am going to bury my pie with as much whipped cream as I can get away with!
