WD 40 is really good to kill wasps. Keep the red tube attached to the can for accuracy and results .

I was told that WD-40 is fish oil. I know it eventually evaporates so not good for oiling a clock. Good to spray on you razor blade after shaving to keep the corrosion down and prolong the life of the razor.

If I walk back into the house with grease on my shoe, I use WD40 to clean the tiles but for hardly anything else. To clean dirty (greasy) hands, I use a waterless hand cleaner, then ordinary soap. I don't recognise the brands of cleaners you guys have been talking about.

I will use it every so often if I have dried Permatex #2 on my hands. I follow with a Citrus or Borax hand cleaner to rid my hands of the smell.

It seems we are in pretty thin company.
Good Day!

I use Stoko Kresto. Once you've tried it you'll never use anything else. It just works

I believe it's called "defatting" basically it pulls the oils out of your skin. Not Ideal. I have a friend that exclusively uses brake cleaner to clean his hands. He's not a patient man.

I try to use more human friendly cleaners. The snap on stuff is incredible it expensive but you only need a toothbrush worth full or less and is leave your hands clean and soft. the gallon container would probably last my entire life.

I won't use WD-40 on my hands- it's too smelly for one thing-- I can't find my old stand-by, Boraxo, in any store around here for a year now. My mechanic son gave me what he uses at work- Snap-On creme hand cleaner with water - it works super well and smells even better. A little goes a long way.

Soap with pumice grit, Solvol, this should be a brand you recognise in Aus.

I agree! Great stuff, contains ground walnut shell "scrubbers". I was introduced to Stoko Kresto when working at the Chevron Oil Refinery.

I follow with Duke Cannon "Bloody Knuckles" Hand Repair Balm.

Water Displacer #40 is a solvent that is proprietary to the manufacturer. I would have to look at the product safety data sheet to see if in contains something that is a health hazzard. I've known several people that used it for arthritis and claimed it helped. There is very little lubricant in the stuff so it's only a very temporary protectant against corrosion. It does displace moisture as advertised. I clean my motorcycles with it rather than get them wet.

Best and cheapest hand cleaner is plain oil. Rub it on and it lifts dirt, grease, etc. I now fill it in a empty used hand cleaner squeeze bottle. Follow up with soap and water.

Directly from the WD40 Interweb...

“WD-40 MULTI-USE PRODUCT CURES ARTHRITIS!” NO WAY.

Myth: WD-40 Multi-Use Product cures arthritis.

Fact: This popular headline, appearing at least once a year in the tabloids, is completely FALSE. WD-40 Company does not recommend the use of WD-40 Multi-Use Product for medical purposes, and knows no reason why WD-40 Multi-Use Product would be effective for arthritis pain relief. WD-40 Multi-Use Product contains petroleum distillates and should be handled with the same precautions for any product containing this type of material.

Yeas ago people pitched an industrial solvent MDSO for arthritis. Turned out to be a REALLY bad idea.
