Default 1936, floor to frame pad,

i'm looking for the pads that goes between the floor and frame along side the transmission, L&R, 5/16 to 3/8 thick, 1-1/2" wide. the picture is not my car, it's off the web, and looks like rubber, mine are broken and look to be made from horse hair? in the same pic, there looks to be a gasket for the fender two bolts up through the lower cowl. is this necessary? could it be two small round rubber washers? thank you.

If you have a farm store nearby, you can usually by baler belting the foot, in various widths and thicknesses, then you can make your own pads. I've used the stuff in huge variety of applications. It is really tough stuff.

It is flat rubber belt, reinforced with fiber of some sort, very similar to conveyor belting, but narrower, usually about 4 to 8 inches wide and 3/8 inch thick, give or take. It is used in big round hay balers.
