Finally My Engine Is In
After what seems almost forever my engine is back in the car. The engine was a 276 cube full house flattie that was built in the fifties. I tried to reuse as much of the vintage speed stuff as practical. The pictures show a rough mockup and as installed in the car. I know it is a long post, I hope you guys understand.

Re: Finally My Engine Is In
The numbers are located on the bell housing part of the block not on the transmission. I don't know if it was a Mercury thing. thanks for your comments, larry

Re: Finally My Engine Is In
Thanks for the comment. I made the lift out of 3/16 steel plate. I wanted to make it in one piece but didn't have enough metal. I cut the plate with a 4 1/2 inch grinder using a cut off wheel.
