I started getting them but I also ordered some 63 vette parts from them. My best advice is to get a GMail account. They have the best spam filter by far. I don't get 2 or 3 spams a month after their filter gets thru. You can also report any email as a spam and they won't make it thru the filter either.

They sniped (aka stole) a bunch of emails of the old site just before it closed. There is an opt out link at the bottom of the page (and it works - I tried it)

I started getting the emails about the same time that I joined the new Ford-barn. Received 3-4 already. Maybe just a coincidence.

Yep, started getting them a couple weeks ago. Never made the connection. I, too, just delete them.

Getting them also. Forwarding them to a buddy and then deleting. Rod

I've gotten a couple or three, I think since the new site started. I didn't make the connection, but it sure does seems odd that so many have started getting them since signing up.

Fellas... We don't send commercial emails and we don't sell your data to anyone. On top of that, it's next to impossible for your email addresses to be farmed from this site.

To ease your minds, you can read our terms of service here and our privacy policy here.

Again, we would NEVER EVER EVER sell your information. Period.

With the old site, spammers could easily farm your email address... With the new format, it's not possible without a ton of work...

Makes sense that the old site could have been harvested as I started getting them about 2 weeks before the new site started. Guesse I should have clarified then when part in my first post. Rod

I have received a lot of them at the email address that I have only used when I registered for the New Ford Barn. There has to be a connection.

Sorry fellas, I will fight this one tooth and nail. I have a strong stance AGAINST unsolicited email and would NEVER send them or be apart of anyone else sending them.

Guys, there are programs that these spammers use called SPIDERS.. they do exactly what they are suppose to do....send out feelers to get email addresses. This has nothing to do with selling and as RYAN says he does not sell and spiders find out these address.

It isn't a totally bad thing, as I took a look thru it last night, there is a lot of parts sources listed and events taking place listed that I didn't know existed and it is not 100% all hot rod despite the name of the site.Sometimes your best source of restoration parts come from modified cars that are not using OEM,better than it being scrap fodder for the Chinese.

Now that you mention it, that might be when they started, but just went to the bottom of email and un registered -- no problem. Ha, of course, got one more telling me I was finished with them. Easy fix.

I wonder if it had anything to do with the spams that some of us got from London asking for money. That was connected with a virus that stole email addresses too. There is too much of this stuff out there, that's for sure.
My son says to put an "X" in all the email addresses in your Address Book and they won't be picked up by a virus, worm, spider, whatever they are called. Apparently the "X" is not a valid character in an email address. Then when he sends an email he deletes the "X" in that address before sending. Any of you computer gurus know if this sounds like good advice?
