Very Early 1928 Seminars
Well folks the snow is melting and thoughts go to the Model A conventions this summer.
MAFCA Loveland, CO June 19th through 24th MARC Perrysburg, OH June 26th through July 1st As a way to give back to the hobby, I will be giving a seminar at both conventions. The focus will be on the very early 1928 Model A's. How early? Well the cars and parts were actually made in 1927. Ford had just a few months to design and test the New Model A Ford, retool his factories and prepare to sell his new vehicle to a ravenous public. During this time decisions were made that are reflected in the parts used. Mistakes? Redesigns? You decide. At these seminars you will see a powerpoint presentation (slide show) that will show the ve28 and e28 parts and how they changed. There will be a number of very early parts for you to see and touch. There will be at least one three digit car at each seminar*. There will be invited, knowledgeable guests who will share their findings. The number of people interested in the very early and early 1928 Model A's seems to increase every year. The number of three and four digit cars being brought back to life is also growing. Do you have a part or two in your collection that was used on the first 10,000 Model A's? These seminars might not have all the answers about the early Model A's but I hope to pique your interest about the early ones. MAFCA: Three Digit Model A Monday June 20th 8:00-10:00 am FNB Cowley Hall MARC: Early 1928 Cars Friday July 1st 8:00-10:00 am Hope to see many of you there. Dean Drenzek *I will be bringing A495 to both meets and Don Bivens will be bringing A616 to the Perrysburg meet. |

Sounds exciting Dean. I'm going to do my best to make it to the MARC meet, but Loveland, CO is a bit of a stretch.

Re: Very Early 1928 Seminars
Howdy Al,
After the seminars, I will be putting many of the photos and descriptions on an early '28 web site, so it will be accessible to all...or most. Dean |

Thanks Dean. A copy of your presentation would be fantastic. People down this way would really appreciate that.
