I'm glad I did that when I was still young. My procto doc loved me for a while after all those miles. Sheep skin helps a little. Be sure to cover up your skin well enough to keep the sun & wind burn to a minimum & stop enough to stay comfortable. Drink prenty of fluids. Best of fortunes & have a good ride.

Yes the dreaded Butt Burn, I wear full gear even when it's hot so wind burn won't be bad, your right about hydration and I will be as careful as I can, thanks.

We were out there for Laconia's 75th, wow, it's been 15 years. Stopped at Indy,to D.C.,Philly, Boston, took a loop around New England. Great lobster...back across the northern states. Did 8500 miles in 3 &1/2 weeks on my Yamaha Venture. Still need to make a loop from New Orleans to North Carolina and a trip to Hawaii to get all 50.

not the best time of the year for siteseeing, but enjoy your ride.

If you are going into Michigan, hit The Henry Ford (a full day stop), then go across to The Gilmore Museum.

Sounds like fun. I would have joined you 60 years ago maybe, but not now. LOL
Enjoy and then report with pictures. Happy trails.
