Default Spring start up

While still jacked up is it ok to start up and idle till it heats up. It’s not where I live and before taking it down I check the fluids and grease it.

Service it and than take it off the Jack stands.

I am overly cautious, I would not start on Jack stands.

Enjoy your car.

Safety first. If you are sure that vibration will not shake the car off the stands, or whatever you have it jacked up with, then it is OK to run it on the stands. Don't get underneath it and make sure it is in neutral. Put the parking brake on.

Actually last year I put it up on jack stands drained the transmission and rear filled with transmission fluid started it up and ran through the gears. When spring came did the same thing, drained and replaced with correct fluid. My question is will idling for a long time foul the plugs. I’ve heard you shouldn’t do that on newer cars.

It does put deposits on the plugs, but they should un-foul again once you start driving it.
