Default Intake Manifold Plug

can someone kindly post close-up pix of the correct original 'threaded plug' (dont beleive repros are correct) used on the intake manifold when a vacuum wiper is not used. i dont know if the 'early 28' (which i need) is different than later styles.
Need to know what i am looking for at swap meets (unless someone has a spare they will part with)
Thanks

Charles,
Early 28 intake manifolds have a bulge right where the vacuum hole is in your picture, but no vacuum hole. I bought one at a swap meet a few years ago not knowing it was only for early 28's, but I sold it on eBay for a decent amount of money a year or so ago. I am not sure if the bulged style was used at the very beginning of production or not. I believe they were used in the first few months of 1928. I am posting two pictures of it below.

From what i can determine ... until January '28, the 'bulge/hump' intake manifold had squared mounting feet and a threaded vacuum hole (1/8" pipe thread) at the bulge. ... if no vacuum wiper (i.e. my truck has a hand wiper) apparenlty a domed slotted (steel/brass?) plug filled the hole. I need an example of the plug so i know what i am looking for.
FWIW:
In Feb'28 ('bulge/hump' style) the hole was removed
In Mar'28 ('bulge/hump' style) it went from flat to tapered mounting feet
In Apr'28 the 'bulge/hump' style was changed to more familiar style

how does the original compare to current repros? pix (by itself, not just head, removed from manifold/engine) would be appreciated

Would the plug be described (dimensions) in the early Parts Price List?

* the only notation i see in my 1-1-28 PPL is the bolts that hold the intake-to-exhaust manifolds.. there is a A24451 1/2-20 USF x 5/16" headless slotted plug in the "plugs" section but it does not appear in the manifold, wiper, or oil pump listings.

* my notes have a 1/8” NPT plug but no other dimensions

* Snyders catalog uses A6621 for its 1/8" NPT plug but the PPL uses that number for the oil pump screen assembly. brattons and macs use their own numbering system

* I know this is 'nit-pickin' but now i'm curious

I wasn't aware the very early 28's intake manifolds were threaded and plugged, since the vacuum wiper wasn't even used until 1929 mid year. My 1931 PPL lists the block oil plug as 1/8 pipe plug by 5/16" headless slotted. So, if the manifold used the same plug, I'd go by that. I recently got a block plug from Bert's and was surprised that it's brass instead of steel.

We'll find out for sure with the new restoration guidelines on Oct.

The Standards state "From the beginning of production through January 1928,
the manifold had square mounting feet and a threaded vacuum hole with a domed
slotted plug located at the bulge."
My 1932 parts book shows plug 353052-S for the manifold, same as the one
on the oil hole in the block.

My early 29 tudor with an electric wiper has this manifold with no bulge and no vacuum port. I picked up this extra one when I saw it since they don't seem to be that common.
