Question about '37 Deluxe door garnish medallions

I finally found my Deluxe garnish trim medallions and was cleaning and polishing them up and was wondering how they were from the factory. Finding any detailed pictures of these parts is pretty much impossible. Were they simply polished medallions, and is this representative of the color they were from the factory?
