Default What size tire do you recommend for 16" Ford rims

I've got 16" Ford rims newly powder coated, but would like to know what tire size in a modern radial do you recommend without going to Coker tire?

That depends on the look you are after. All same size? Big tires on back and smaller on front?

I found a nice set of good years that worked out real well. I did widen out the side mount well 1 1/4" so the tire would fit the well. here is a picture of the tire but I don`t remember the size.

I was not successful finding a metric size radial that cleared the brake rods.

1929,
Did you mount the radials with radial tubes or tubeless?
Thanks, Hunt

I use 215x70R16, as used on the RAV-4. Tubeless. No problem on Ford wheels need sealing where the spokes come thru the rims.

Are you talking about original 1935 ford wheels?

Mine are the same as Jim Brierleys. 215x70R16. There is no need to seal the spokes as they are welded to the rim on the '35 Ford rims. I also run mine tubeless.

I am wondering if 7.50 X 16" will fit under my rear fenders.

I believe 7.50x 16 = 31.3 inch diameter.

Towed56, I seal them by smearing a dab of silicone around each spoke, then put either a large "rubber band" around the area to keep the tire from removing the silicone on installation. I have also wrapped duct tape over the silicone. Rubber bands can be bought for stock A wheels and shortened for 16" wheels. Such bands [U]may be[U] bought for 16" wheels at V8 stores, not sure.
