Strickland’s ( Glenn Jr) did mine.
Being honest I have not started yet. However Glenn very knowledgeable & his father was around to look over his shoulder.

I visited frequently & discussed intentions & parts.

He came recommended by some other 50’s era Flathead guys in Raleigh

I had machine work done by them and it turned out great, but didn't find out the block was cracked through the valve seats until after all the work was done. Very expensive lesson on my part. Have your block magnafluxed or pressure tested before because they weren't able to do that.

JMO but if a machine shop can't magnaflux or pressure test a block or can't send it out to be done you need to go elsewhere ESPECIALLY for a flathead.

Len moved to NC from Cleveland, OH. Our loss your gain, he has done hundreds of flathead V8 and 4 Cyl.

Thanks for input guys. I have an engine in my 34 truck that only 10k miles on it that I plan to clean up a bit and put back together to see how it runs. I also have 2 other 59 series engines of which 1 I may rebuild down the road.

Randy, who is that 50s era flathead person you know? They might have known my dad, Fred Reigher.
