'32 motor mounts?
Are these '32? They look diff. where they bolt to the cross member.

Re: '32 motor mounts?
Those are the first design. They use a different front crossmember and mounts.

Re: '32 motor mounts?
If you have an original 32 front cross member the rear flange forms about a 4" wide tray lip with a dip in the center to clear the crank pulley, With the exception of early 2's on ether side of this dip are dimples with a 3/4" hole to accept the rubber donut engine mounts. The mounts bolt to the front of the block and set on top of the cross member engine mounts. If your cross member doesnt have the lip it has been removed or replaced.

Re: '32 motor mounts?
Here is a picture of my cross member. Will early and late '32 mounts work?

Re: '32 motor mounts?
You risk a potential misalignment of the engine if you attempt to use the early motor mount brackets with your pictured cross member. Further, the long special shoulder bolts used with the motor mounts intended to be used with your cross member (and later brackets) will prove to be too short. Perhaps the longer bolts used for the transmission mounts starting in 1937 might work.
With all due respect, the front cross members |
