Well, sort of? I have this. It was a sidevalve ute. I reconfigured it a bit though and a current photo would not be appropriate.

Hi folks first post for me on the new Ford Barn great site.

I bought a '39 Standard Ute in 1973. Paid $50.00 and drove it home. See picture below.

Eventually dismantled it but moved it on whilst I built a '32 Highboy. My information is that this car went to the USA. The body and frame had all been primed but no assembly.

Some suggestion it went somewhere over to the east coast of USA. That was some years ago now, perhaps late 80's.

Anyone spotted one of these or heard of one of these Stateside?

Its buried in household crap. What ever the Mrs doesn't want in the house gets dumped on the poor old ute.
Can only see parts of it.
It is my retirement project. The way I am going I don't think I will ever get there :-)
Keep the pics coming boys.

Love to have one. Did see a 1949 and fell in love with it.Maybe one day find one in US.Love to come back over for a visit again some day. They though I talk funny when I gave a speech. Had a good laugh.Great place to visit here and there. My wife and I spent 3 wonderful weeks over there and hated to come home.Went to Madel A National meet while there.Never did learn to drive while there. Dam steering wheel on the wrong side of the car.Anyway you are number 1 in my book. There always a place at my table when you come to the US. Have a great day
