Default '32 rear panel

I'm looking for ideas on building a rpu / modifed type body, I have the front half of a '32 roadster / phaeton and I'm trying to figure out what to use for a back panel. I built one before using the Brookville rpu back section but I'd really like to use original tin on this one and wondering what body panels I could use that would line up with the reveal on the roadster doors ??? Thanks guys

I looked into this also, and the roadster/phaeton cowl is different than the rpu one. The original goes straight up and down while the roadster/phaeton curves just below the window stantion area. Finding accurate tin is the big problem.

Thanks Capn John, the Brookville rear panel matches up with the roadster stuff because they used a roadster cowl and doors for their rpu. I was hoping someone had done this before with an original panel of some sort I really would like to use all original tin if at all possible.

This is the one I did a few years ago with the Brookville back section, it has about 6" sectioned out of the sides because it comes as an extended cab and I wanted a more conventional shape.

The dimensions of the doors and back panel from a "real" RPU are totally unique to the RPU and won't line up with the passenger car roadster parts. Closed cab parts are different in length and counter than the RPU, too.

Not to be a pessimist, but you probably have a better chance of winning the lottery than finding the rear panel from a RPU unless it's part of a complete cab, which would then be big $$$.

Thanks Mike, I think my best bet is going to be the back of a 2dr. or 4 dr. and fill in the fender well. Everything else that might work would be too valuable like back of a phaeton, real roadster quarters etc. Hopefully I'll find something at Hershey.
