Fast service!
A club member "shucked" a rod in his high performance engine last week. To get back on the road quickly, he chose to "poor boy" together an old engine that had suffered from stuck rings due to years of storage.
The decision was made to spend only the cost of new gaskets and a ring set. We called Kevin at my old outfit, Standard Auto Parts, on Friday and the parts arrived in the mail Saturday A.M. Good service! We had to stop work for Mothers Day, but we should be up and running soon. This old engine has been apart and scattered around the barn for 6 years. It will be interesting to see how well we can make it run. I'll let you know. Ron |
