Default What is this attached to the carb on 1936 Ford

My buddy just purchased this restored five window in Michigan. We hauled it back to Kansas City, MO on Monday. Need help identifying the tube that is attached to the float bowl and runs back to the firewall. Any Ideas? Thanks Nate Anello Lee's Summit MO
