Default '32 Light switch question

OK All:

Hoping all you '32 experts jump here. At the end of the steering box, there is the switch housing. I see there is a part of a switch plate in there. I'm assuming there is a wiring harness with a corresponding contact with the wire leads that goes inside of this.

Is that correct? Would anyone happen to have a picture of what it looks like?

Thanks,

Tim

Cheap but functional would be from Macs. Got mine from them before they were sold to Eckert.

Back story, however.

Got one from Dick Spadero (sic) (RIP) many years ago. The headlight wires ended at the bottom of the radiator. Did not extend far enough to reach the headlights.

Had a "conversation" on this website on that situation without a good answer.

The first time I tried to replace the wiring harness for a '32 Ford I bought it from a Ford dealer in Chicago in 1954. And the harness did not extend into the headlights.

It sounds like a case of a misidentified lamp wiring harness, most likely for a '33-'34 where there are separate leads from the head lamps to the main lamp wiring harness.

The reproduction harness above in the photo posted by Bob C appears to have the right length of wires to pass through the sides of the radiator shell and terminate at the ends of the conduits that connect to the head lamps; the ends do not actually extend into the lamp housings.

(I would quibble over the diameter of the horn wire conduit the maker of that harness used as no way would it pass through the small rubber grommet at the bottom of the radiator shell.)

Also, if I'm correct, there are two different harnesses - one for a dual-lamp headlight and the other for the single-lamp headlight. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong on this - I seem to remember having the wrong one at one point.

After looking at the site David posted, there seems to a few different ones. I guess I need to call and ask for this is going to be a hot rod that I need to work Guide sealed beam headlights.

There were four different stock '32 LHD lamp wiring harnesses: two for fours with a hand controlled starter switch (one bulb and two bulb head lamps) and two for V8s and late fours with a foot controlled starter switch (one and two bulb head lamps).
