Looking for old trailer hitch documentation

I need your help, I want to attach a trailer hitch to my Model A Tudor. In order to get this approved by the German TÜV, I need old documents that show a towing capacity for the Model A. As well as a support load. Old documents on towbars would also be good. I don't think there is such a thing, but I'm not giving up hope that someone here still has old documents and prospects.

Take a look at the rear axle under that coupe. It's not original! The car was considerably beefed up to be able to pull that trailer. I read a detailed article awhile back but can't remember where I saw it. As I recall, the trailer axle had vacuum actuated brakes.

I couldn't find the original article either, I think it had an AA rear axle.

Thanks for the efforts. based on pictures I was able to convince the TÜV to even think about it. The problem is that they want technical data for everything because nobody wants to take responsibility. Because they're afraid it won't last. They just hide behind regulations and say it wouldn't work without technical data. if i could convince the tüv of the towing capacity by means of technical data i would be one step further. An attempt would be, for example, if there were a weight in the prospect of the caravan. From this one could deduce what load the A could at least pull.

You are really great what you find on the net. It's all very interesting and helps me to prove that there were trailer hitches on the A back then. But it's not really what I need to prove the weight the A can pull. You might find something else. I've been looking for a long time and just can't find anything that really helps me. I also just want to add a little hanger like CarlG. I don't want to carry out such a conversion effort with a rear axle from the AA as in the article by Randy the trailer is probably a bit oversized ;-)

There is a website that sells (among other things) trailer hitches. I have bought other things from them in the past with no problem. Some of the hitches listed indicate the maximum towing weight and tongue weight. For example, one specifies a weight capacity of 2000 lbs and tongue weight of 200 lbs. (You will probably have to convert that to kilos for Germany). Below is the text for one of the hitches on the website:
