Columbia two speed--your way
City:
brainerd
State:
MN
Price:
negotiable
Have a '39 Lincoln Zephyr Columbia two speed only, no controls. It is complete with torque tube, drive shaft, u joint, trailing arms and spring. It has Ford backing plates and hubs/drums, drums need to be turned. I have had the appropriate parts bullet proofed by John Connelly. I took pictures as I disassembled it and am taking more as it goes back together. It has no visible wear on the two speed parts. New thrust washers and synchro clutch parts from John. For those unfamiliar, this axle has the speedo drive on right axle so you don't need a speedo adapter for correct reading in overdrive. And, the Lincoln center section is different than Ford and is a 4:44 ratio. So, here's the options: if someone wants it as a complete Zephyr, I'll put it together as is; or if someone has their own Ford center section, I'll put together with that; or if someone wants it with a Ford center section, I'll do my best to find one in the desired gear ratio and put it together that way. So give me a call and we'll put a plan together. I would prefer not to ship it, but not totally against it. I'm in central Minnesota. Send me a pm. Thanks. Rod
