1931 Coupe wiring harness routing
Can anyone tell me if the tail light/brake switch harness is routed over or under the brake cross shaft? Thank you

Re: 1931 Coupe wiring harness routing
when the wire leaves the light switch to the rear stop light switch and tailamps is it running insde the frame channel .on top or on bottom? I have been searching all morning ,then make my attempt in the garage and come back to search some more. This picture above helps some but not enough. It looks to me it has to go bottom frame when it leaves but somewhere it goes inside frame?

Re: 1931 Coupe wiring harness routing
Great pictures. I have a Pick-up with the wire under the motor mount and a Tudor with the wire over, which is correct ?

Re: 1931 Coupe wiring harness routing
I think according to the above pictures it runs below the motor mount. That is how I did mine today and I used quite of few frame clips. I have some that are short and they fit the frame very good depth wise. The last ones I got seem to long and stick out a 1/4" instead of snug agaist the lower frame channel.

Re: 1931 Coupe wiring harness routing
I'm glad this question was asked. I recently installed a new wire harness and was surprised the wire didn't run all the way to the tail light. I didn't realize there was an extension that goes to the tail light until I asked here.
I still wasn't sure how it should be ran, this thread answered that for me. Thanks |
