I would have to need a repoped spreader bar real bad to buy one. Originals come up for sale it seems quite frequently and would be a much better investment. You didn't state what kind of build you are doing but I would not waste my money on them. Just my .02¢.

I bought a pair from Drake a while ago, and was disgusted when they arrived to see "made in Taiwan" on the box.

An issue here is frame type...all the repro ones I am aware of are decorative, made with thin tubing and lacking all structural value. They are for boxed frames with X crossmembers that do not need them for extra strength. On the stock frame, they are structural, the reason bars and the rear spare bracket were made of such heavy tubing.

Mine is home made from a solid bar. No way it will bend.

Made my own out of 4130 tubing & fabbed flanges for my original frame because I could not find an original at the time.

Damn! I was looking at a better amp gauge but the one on Fleece bay is at $157 with 2 hours to go. Maybe I should sell mine.

BTTT
I am gonna make my own 32 spreader bars front and rear. Does anyone know the exact dimensions? I gotta a bunch of SS bar stock to use and flat stock for flanges. Or should I just go buy a set of repops and go by those meausurements?

I used this thread below for my measurements. Remember your overall width of frame has to be correct taking into account the width of the "spacers" welded inside the frame.
23 5/8" frame width at the front horns and 40" at the rear horns.

Dimensions from a really accurate drawing show 40" rear and 23 5/8" front, outside measurement. The frame material is 11 gage (.119) and both front and rear spacers are also 11 ga. Rounding up the .238/side to 1/4" will give an inside measurement of 39 1/2" R. and 23 1/8" F. I don't have a factory front bar but an aftermarket stainless bar measures 23 3/16", very close to the 23 1/8" dimension needing a minimal spread of the horns to fit. A factory spare tire bar checks at 39 5/8" so the rear of the frame needs a slight 1/8" spread for the bar to fit. An aftermarket stainless bar I have is only 39 3/8", 1/8" less so the frame horns will be pulled in slightly if no spacers are used. One other thing, my original used and abused but very nice frame is 23 1/2" outside, at the front horns but who knows what happened in the last eight decades. The rear horns had been cut off and replaced at some point so I did not bother to measure that width.
