Mullins trailer wheels
I have a 5 bolt pattern on the wheel bolt up for my Mullins trailer. The pattern does not fit a Model A or early V8 wheel. Can anyone help with with how I can acquire a spacer to mount either of these wheels on the trailer? Or some other direction to take, maybe some spoke wheels that will fit. Thanks....

Re: Mullins trailer wheels
I have no first hand knowledge, but it seems as though I read somewhere that you have to use Model A hubs, and that it's a fairly simple swap.

Re: Mullins trailer wheels
If I understand you correctly, you want to adapt the hubs on the trailer to fit Model A or early V8 wheels.
You'll need the proper adapters. They will look like this... You'll need to know the bolt circle in inches of both the trailer and the wheels you intend to mount. Here's a quick way to do it... You can find them at eBay, Summit, Jegs, etc.

I have a pair of 5X4.5 Kelsey wheels 16x4 size that are powder coated Red. I may sell them if they will help you out.

Re: Mullins trailer wheels
My original Mullins wheels resemble the late '30's Plymouth military wheels and I think those will fit. In going through Mullins history it appears that the Mullins factory would match the hubs & wheels to the tow car so adapting various hubs to the Mullins axle shouldn't be to much of a problem.

ronn, watch ebay on Mullins trailers for hubcaps, they show up some times but expensive. Mullins club newsletter too has some also.

Re: Mullins trailer wheels
I once "won" the bid on eBay for a Mullins trailer that included Model A hubs & wheels as well as Cord hubs & wheels. Unfortunately, I hadn't met the reserve.

I did this 48 years a go with no problem and I'm still using my Mullins. The Model 'A' bearings work just fine. That is if you have the original axle. Jer: |
