Smile '28 Rear Springs.

Hi all. Could somebody please advise whether using a '28 phaeton rear spring in a '28 roadster would affect the ride, the ride height, or both?
Thanks in anticipation.

My book from clymer publications says the roadster had a spring with 7 leaves and the phaeton had 8 and was taller
