Seems like 40hp might not be enough to drive something like that.....unless geared really low, and top speed is about 10mph!

Did you notice the hydraulic lift on the front? It raises the front of the car so you can swap the front tires to the skies.

Not sure a convertible was the best choice for Montana winters, but I guess they used what they had in 1936. Ford built mail trucks for the PO but rural carriers often made their own like this one - for more examples, google images for Model A mail car.
