T'Bird 6V maifold/carb/air cleaner value
What's a ballpark value for a complete T'Bird 6V setup, both original and restored condition?

Re: T'Bird 6V setup value
If you are talking of just a regulator and generator, I would think not much as they must be the same as the passenger and light truck of that year.

Re: T'Bird 6V setup value
I'm talking about the factory 3X2 setup. I should have been more specific!

I would think the guys on the FE forum would guess better than us Y block and 302 guys. It would help if you could post a picture to show condition and how complete it is.

Ole Don, isn't a FE a "Late V8 (1954+)" as the name of the heading sez?? Not just for "us Y block and 302 guys". There doesn't seem to be a FE Specific Forum on the Barn.

Somewhere around $1500 - $2000, maybe more, if it's complete with original carbs, air cleaner, fuel log and linkage. Since it's T-Bird specific, you've got a limited, but captive market.

Re: T'Bird 6V maifold/carb/air cleaner value
I sold one about 1990 that was complete with linkage, air breather, and fuel log for $650. and the carbs needed a rebuild.

Re: T'Bird 6V maifold/carb/air cleaner value
I think this sounds about right. Last one I had I sold for 300 bucks so you know that was a long time ago. But I only paid 35 bucks for it. They used to be everywhere because no one knew how to tune them and swapped them out for single four barrels.

Re: T'Bird 6V maifold/carb/air cleaner value
Be careful not to confuse the two types of Ford factory tri-power for the FE motors. The more common setup is from the FE Galaxies and Mercurys, '61 - '63. The carb pads on the intake are stepped to allow for the angled engine installation. The Thunderbird setup has an intake with carb pads at the same height, as engine installation angle in a '61 - '63 Bird is level.

1952, understood. I was talking to 28RPU. The Ford setups are fairly common. The TBird setup you have is much rarer.
