Post Model B transmission

Can a Model A Engine be attached to an already existing Model B Transmission. Replacing Model B Engine with a Model A Engine.

Jack,

You should be able to bolt the Model B flywheel cover to the back of the Model A engine and then bolt them both to the transmission. You will have the flywheel exposed unless you fabricate a cover since it is covered on the bottom in the Model B installation with the back of the oil pan. You should be able to use the Model B front mount on the Model A engine. Remember that the Model A does not have a fuel pump and you will have to use an electric fuel pump. You will also need to run the Model B flywheel as the Model A flywheel will hit the transmission case. So the answer is yes, but please don't put a Model A engine in a Model B car.
