Default 8ba distributer

thinking about trying one of the relatively inexpensive off-shore 8ba dizzys that are offered on e-bay that have vacuum advance. under $200. including a coil. any real world experiences with them? by comparison, msd's that are similar are over $600. i don't know if msd is now off-shore; for that kind of $$$$ i would hope it was usa made. (i'm trying to keep the whole engine ford, so no chevy conversion)

These look like they are all made for chevy and have been converted for flathead use.
Don't think that any of them come with a coil.
Incidentally, Speedway Motors has them for under $160 (no coil)

ark,
How about a Mallory dual point....it started life as a Chevy but I have converted it to 8ba, INCLUDING recurving. Small red cap similar in size to the Ford Load a Matic cap.

Yes indeed, have converted a couple of Mallory Unilite distributors with manifold vacuum that were meant for GM.
Same size as stock flathead. Get a black cap from NAPA
