Flathead Transmission Adapter to T-5
Any one have experience using the Offenhauser or Speedway adapter for a T-5 to flathead? I need to know if the 10 inch long style pressure plate with counterweights will clear the inside of the adapter or do i need to use a 9 inch long style pressure plate for extra clearance?: Any insight or help will be greatly appreciated.

Using Flathead Jack's Weber 10" PP and disc. Works just fine.

Re: Flathead Transmission Adapter to T-5
The adapters will work directly on the 59 series blocks and earlier but need a half bell on the 8BA family. It makes a difference what engine you have as to what bolt up of the 9 or 10-inch Long type clutches. No Problem on late prewar or post war 59 for 10-inch. 8BA 10-inch pickup clutches are the same but the flywheels aren't easy to find these days since everyone wants them. All other 8BA flywheels have to be drilled for the early type clutch unless you use a Mercury Borg & Beck type clutch & flywheel.
That Quick Time bell housing is a new one to me but the price is way out there. Way too rich for my blood. |
