What are you going to do with your current shop when you move to your home shop?

Volkswagens are the new Model A's. Love 'em! I had two buses. a '63 and a '68. I could haul music equipment, sleep in them, travel, a bit underpowered but very functional. We could change drivers while driving because of the space between the separated front seats. Some of the best memories ever! Thanks for reminding me!

I guess i will have to bring the pop corn machine here as well. It was expensive when i bought it (industrial version) so no one wants to pay for it. I also have a hot dog and bun steamer that holds 200 hot dogs at a time.
My old shop 24 years on gasoline alley had a diner and a gas station in it. Been downsizing for the last 10 years. Hoping this is my last one.

I ran the Newport Hill in the 29 Model A sedan in 2003. I had bought the car at the Marion Co. Swap meet. Seen a pic in a magazine (artist drawing) of the sedan made into a truck. Hammer Art on Gasoline started the car in 2004 did
a great job on the body and 32 frame rails, chassis etc and left town.
We finished the car and i drove it to the 100 car pile up show in Morris Ill the following year.
Big GMC 302 punched .125 for 322 cu in,howard camshaft, four speed and winters quick change. 35 Ford wires. I have drove it for 12 years , love this hot rod!!!
Even in a snow storm!!! The other car in the snow we built as well Its a 1918 Dodge roadster with slant six etc....also a snow mobile . Belongs to my son Scott..
Loaned it to him for the weekend and he never brought it back, Made a great christmas present i guess....

Hate to bring this up on a Ford Flathead site, but when I was in high school I ran a B/A at the local dragstrip. There were still a lot of Flatheads running in the Flathead and six cylinder altered class. Their was a six that would walk allover just about any flathead around! Just goes to show the power of the overhead valve arrangement. I love flatheads, but they couldn't stand up to an OHV engine, even a six!!!!

Thanks for the info. Those 302" Jimmy's were a potent package at one time. Had a buddy with one in a '52 Stovebolt that gave lots of "more modern" 8 cyl. cars a really good view of the taillights.

Well if you lived in Australia those BB guns by law would have to be locked up because they are classed as firearms. Should not be hanging around. Regards, Kevin.

You must have heard the story of Calvin rice at the first national drags at great bend Kansas?
His car was powered by sometimes a Chrysler hemi with a potvin blower stuck out the front, or othertimes a un blown three card flathead?
The Chrysler was faster at the top end mph, but big hugemungus but, the flathead got there quicker et.
Yup, blown hemi or carbed flathead.
He won that national drags with the flathead.
Martin.

I have a picture of me as a young lad sitting in a Jimmy powered FED. My dad told me it was a very quick car for it's time. I think it had a cross flow head on it.

As much as I think they sound like dookie, those sixes are a good motor when set up right.

Yep, I was aware of that event 1955 (I live in Kansas but did not attend that nationals).

This is an interesting link, including the video. http://nhra.com/story/2016/6/1/night...m-calvin-rice/
