Speedometer Replacement 47 Fordor
Ok.. so my cable & turtle are new & replaced when I rebuilt my transmission...
I know.. I know, I should have re-habbed my speedometer while waiting for my trans to be rebuilt.. it was working fine for about two months.. then just went haywire.. bouncing everywhere.. There are very few speedometer shops left in L.A... does anyone know of a good replacement mechanical speedo I can get in the 5" inch diameter?

Mine did that, went crazy. It would go a full 360 revolution over and over. Turned out the needle was loose on the stem. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Re: Speedometer Replacement 47 Fordor
kinked cable, unlub'd cable, too short cable and speedo head not lub'd(small hole where cable attaches to speedo head- saturate the "wick" withlight oil and turn with a battery drill).

Walt
I would guess the green spin tight. Disconnect battery first. Bruce
